In this item, pre-recorded for ADASS SpringSeminar 21, ASC leaders from the West Midlands talk about the region's pursuit of sector-led improvement

With a new regulatory framework likely to emerge from February’s Health and Social Care White Paper, Peter Fahy, Director of Adult Services at Coventry City Council, Paula Furnival, Strategic Director for People at Worcestershire County Council, and Richard Harling, Director of Health and Care at Staffordshire County Council describe how the region’s Peer Review Challenge, its data dashboard, and its various peer networks are contributing to improvement in performance and outcomes across the region.

Peter Hay, a former President of ADASS, provides further background on regulatory thinking in Adult Social Care and sets out some guiding principles for what should come next.
